The Resident London
Over the course of two months, I contributed content to both the online and print publications of The Resident, a luxury lifestyle magazine in London. Aside from conducting research and interviews for the articles, I also managed two Twitter accounts for the magazine and tracked social interaction for other social media platforms.
Below is some of my work from my internship from the online edition. The website can be found here.
Bill Granger Talks Notting Hill and Global Cooking
It all started with his café-style eatery in Notting Hill, but I sat down with world-renown chef Bill Granger and he tells me that he is determined to keep mixing it up when it comes to his cooking style.
Is HR Moore the New JK Rowling?
HR Moore is causing quite a stir with her fantasy epic trilogy, Legacy of the Mind. I asked if this West Londoner may be the new JK Rowling, while finding out how New York played a key role in inspiring her.
I was honored to be able to interview Katy Taylor, owner of Bunny Little’s Bakery. This piece showed how her creative, fashion-driven past inspired her switch to concocting mouth-watering baked goods in North London.
Inside Gallery Owner Elena Shchukina’s Highgate Home
In case of truly bringing her work home, Mayfair gallery owner Elena Shchukina showed me around her stunning Highgate home.
One of the tasks of my internship was conducting restaurant reviews. I visited the Spread Eagle Pub in Camden and reviewed my meal and experience after dining in.
The River Thames runs straight through the city of London and provides countless ways to enjoy the water. I researched the best water sports and activities to take part in this summer on the southeast side of the city.
I also contributed more researched content to the print editions. The e-editions of the print editions can be found here.
